Voip Unlimited’s young entrepreneurs scoop a plethora of awards at the 2015 enterprise and skills challenge celebrations.

Mark Pillow, managing director of Poole-based Voip Unlimited proudly honoured a team of budding young entrepreneurs, after students he mentored throughout the process scooped five awards at the 2015 Enterprise Challenge Celebrations.

Organised by the Enterprise and Skills Company which is designed to develop employability and entrepreneurial skills in Dorset’s young people, the awards evening saw teams of students across the county compete for accolades for their small business.

Taking on the role as business advisor for team MODE, Mark Pillow mentored the young students from St Edward’s School and Queen Elizabeth School throughout the process.

MODE won the coveted Handelsbanken Finance Award, the Bright Blue Day Best Company Marketing Award and the Spirit of Enterprise Award. In addition, Leila Willingham, Managing Director of MODE won the Lester Aldridge Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and Lili Donlon Mansbridge was awarded Enterprise Personality of the Year.

In addition to acting as a business advisor for MODE, VoIP Unlimited sponsored the Best Use of IT Award, won by the team B-Co.

Commenting on her experience during the Enterprise and Skills Company, Leila Willingham, said:

“It’s been really great, and even more worthwhile with Mark’s help. He gave the team so much advice and guidance with the tricky decisions and some brilliant creative ideas too.”

Mark said: “I’m pleased and proud that team MODE won so many well-deserved awards. I’m also pleasantly surprised that the vintage iPad – one of my ideas, became a best seller!”

He added: “What’s more, MODE donated 20% of its profit to HeadSmart; a campaign launched by The Brain Tumour Charity, Voip Unlimited’s charity of the year.”
