Voip MD empowers entrepreneurs at Dragons Den event
With the career future for millennials becoming increasingly difficult, self-made businessman and MD of Voip Unlimited, recently plastered over BBC South Today for our national award-winning Broadband services, has continued his engagement with education, at Clayesmore Dragons Den Young Enterprise event.
Voip Unlimited champions engagement
The well-respected programme, offers students a chance to be mentored by a business advisor and set up and run their own real company for over a year. The Dragons event marks the beginning of the journey where students can pitch in front of the Dragons and win an investment for their new company.
Voip Unlimited champions engagement with education outside of this programme too, being a regular sponsor of the Dorset Business Award for ‘Engagement with Education’, sponsoring Southampton University Formula Student Team and also taking on apprenticeships at its HQ in Poole.
Mark Pillow, MD of Voip Unlimited and judge at the event said.
“The transition from school to work needs to be much easier, and that means bringing the two together. Many pupils can’t see a route to a successful career away from the traditional curriculum subjects or education routes such as degrees, I bucked this trend by going into technology and founding my own company and I have had a great career. There are so many other ways to success and I am keen to offer my pearls of wisdom and financial and business support to empower the entrepreneurs amongst them”.
